Shipping and Returns Policy

California Caviar Company is committed to delivering exceptional quality and a seamless customer experience. Every order is handled with care to ensure freshness, precision, and consistency.

Shipping & Handling

Most orders ship within 24 hours. Please allow up to 48 business hours for processing during peak periods and holidays. All orders are shipped via overnight delivery.

Orders placed before 12:00 PM PT (Monday–Thursday) ship the same day for next-day delivery.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM PT (Monday–Thursday) ship the following business day.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM PT on Thursday ship the following Monday for Tuesday delivery.

Saturday delivery is available for an additional $60–$70, depending on location.

For shipments to Hawaii or Alaska (2–3 day transit), please call (415) 332-0822 for assistance.

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or internationally at this time.

Pickup Orders

Orders may be scheduled for pickup at California Caviar Company.

Pickup hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Select “Pick Up” at checkout and include your preferred pickup time in the Notes section.

Weekend pickups may be arranged at The Bump Bar by prior coordination.

Caviar Care

For optimal quality, store caviar between 28°–34°F.

Keep on ice packs in your refrigerator when possible
Alternatively, store in the coldest part of your fridge (back bottom)

Shelf life:

Unopened: up to 5 weeks
Opened: best enjoyed within 5 days

Remove from refrigeration no more than 5 minutes before serving.

If storing after opening, gently place plastic wrap directly on the surface before sealing the lid to minimize air exposure.

While sturgeon caviar is best not frozen, whitefish, salmon, and trout roe freeze well.

Returns

All products are shipped fresh and handled with strict quality standards.

If a return is authorized:

Items must be shipped in an insulated container with frozen gel packs
Ship via FedEx® Priority Overnight
Product must be received at or below 39°F (FDA guidelines)

Approved returns are processed less shipping and handling.
